Amigasoft at Pianeta Amiga 2009

Celestia for AmigaOS4 released

Hi, This is a Port of Celestia for AmigaOS4 You will find all informations about Celestia on the official site: http://www.shatters.net/celestia/ This package contains only minimal objects, so maybe you have to download all other stuff searching with google The window resolution is set too 800x600 and should be usable to all our Video Card. Don't use really high resolution or you will encounter an "Out of Memory" error. Thanks to Hans de Ruiter for its HUGE work on the MiniGL (required to run Celestia correctly).

GoAhead WebServer on AmigaOS4

GoAhead WebServer leverages Active Server Pages (note that ASP.NET is not supported), embedded JavaScript, and in-process CGI forms processing to deliver highly efficient and effective dynamic Web page creation. WebServer also includes support for SSL, Digest Access Authentication, User Management, and standard CGI. Embedded JavaScript is a strict subset of JavaScript, scaled down to incur a smaller memory footprint. Embedded JavaScript is a very effective way to create dynamic Web pages without having to recompile whenever you wish to change the data shown in the Web pages. The JavaScript is embedded in the Web page, using Active Server Pages, and is run by the GoAhead WebServer before the Web page is sent to the user's browser. The resulting page is small and transmits quickly to the user’s browser even over slow modem links. The JavaScript 1.3 implementation allows the creation of objects to represent device data for easy scripting access. GoAhead WebServer uses GoForms to handle its forms processing duties. GoForms is an in-process CGI method of handling forms. GoForms enables forms to be processed without creating a new process for each browser connection. WebServer also supports traditional CGI form processing. GoAhead WebServer supports Secure Socket Layering (SSL) for authentication and encryption over TCP/IP networks. SSL is essentially invisible to the end user: the Web browser might use a visual cue on the device to indicate duration that SSL is active, or may notify the user that they are about to enter a secure Web page. More software to be released..

Hello all, After some months of inactivity i'm working on some other stuff and after Celestia that will be released when the new minigl will be out, i've finished also OpenRedAlert, the remake of Westwood Open Red Alert Command and Conquer. Another interesting software is FooBillard that can show you how advance is the new minigl library. Foobillard is a 3D Billard simulator that allow you to play many game type. Hope you like it when the game will be out (you have to wait the minigl as usual..)

Hi all, With last MiniGL (not yet released) i'm working on some stuff you will find interesting.. one of this one is Celestia a fantastic planetarium simulation. It works full native OS4 with OpenGL. More news soon..

AmigaOS4.1 for SAM440PC Boards

Antwerp, Belgium - 17 September, 2008. Hyperion Entertainment VOF and ACube Systems SRL are pleased to announce that they have entered into an OEM license agreement which will allow ACube to offer its customers an OEM version of Hyperion's AmigaOS 4.1 operating system for their SAM440 range of motherboards. Prospective customers wishing to beta-test the near final OEM version of AmigaOS 4.1 for the SAM 440ep will be afforded the opportunity to do so and will subsequently receive the full version. Orders can be placed as of now with ACube. A first public demonstration of AmigaOS 4.1 for SAM440ep is scheduled for the upcoming exhibition "Pianeta Amiga" in Empoli, Italy on September 27-28, 2008.

NewsCoaster is an open source MUI-based newsreader, for both online and offline reading. The source code will available in our CVS repository for the latest version very soon. OWB - Origyn Web Browser for AmigaOS4 The first (in)complete Modern Web Browser for AmigaOS4 I'm happy to announce that today we have a web browser for AmigaOS4 that supports almost all modern web technologies. Since it is a project in an early state I'll write first what doesn't work.. Don't expect at moment Tool bars and all other things present in all browser. But i assure you that we are working on this. But i would release something for Christmas also to see your feedback about this browser. OK. Let's go... WHAT DOESN'T WORK: # FILE TRANSFER # Cookies: sometimes and on some sites login is impossible. # Crashes: There are some sites that crashes and you could have some crashes on exit. Don't send me crash logs.. the functions that crashes are known.. # Chars: Some chars like () in the Italian char actually are not printable.. :( I can write to you a special version but is better to wait new releases # Sites Display: 99% of sites works correctly.. but you could find some sites that doesn't render well. On some sites you could have problem on window's redraw # Chinese fonts are not rendered (i think.. or i haven't found a right ttf font..) # Don't expect Flash/Movie plugins (at moment..) # Sometimes the browser could send a bad request to the web server. Go back and re click on the link # Copy/Paste of text doesn't work at moment #There isn't a scroll bar at momen # maybe other WHAT WORKS: # IT IS FREE.. ;) # NO BOUNTY OR OTHER.. ;) # Javascript should work on 99% of the web sites # CSS and all web technologies work perfectly # True Type fonts are used to display fonts (see notes on how it works) # SSL works (see notes) # It is quite fast also on A1200 (well.. doesn't expect the same speed as on an A1..) # Is updated daily by the OWB developers (and me..) INSTALLATION AND USAGE: Copy the fc-cache file included in C/ dir into your C: directory (even if is not is needed) and run it. Copy the files included in the FONTS/ directory into your FONTS: directory Copy the files included in the S/ directory into your S: directory Mount the RANDOM: device from SYS:Storage/DosDrivers/ (or copy it into DEVS:DosDrivers/) To launch OWB just click on its icon or run from the shell with this syntax: owb URL The first time you run it, it will search the FONTS:_TrueType/ directory to see what ttf fonts are available and create some cache files, so you may have to wait for some seconds, depending on how many files you have there. The Mana World ported on AmigaOS4

The Mana World (TMW) is a serious effort to create an innovative free and open source MMORPG. TMW uses 2D graphics and aims to create a large and diverse interactive world. It is licensed under the GPL, making sure this game can't ever run away from you. The project includes the development of both a client and a server, as well as the development of an online world. At the moment we're making alpha releases of the client, while our server is in early development. The eAthena free software Ragnarok Online server is used until our own server has matured enough to replace it. Once ready, we'll be making releases of our server too so anybody will be free to set up their own server and start building their own online world.

Globulation 2 is an innovative Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game which reduces micro-management by automatically assigning tasks to units. Need help for Amiwm

Hi! I need help to improve the amiwm X Window manager to respect the OS4 look and feel! So please help me! Download the source code from the link above and change it. Please take a look at read me file to understan how it works and can be changed. But keep in mind that changes to the source must be done. Thanl you!

DvPlayer DVD plugin with libdvdcss

This is a DvPlayer DVD plugin based on libdvdcss present in MPlayer Copy the file dvdvcd.plugin into your DvPlayer/dvplugins directory. This replaces the original dvdvcd.plugin which comes with DvPlayer, so you might want to make a backup of the original. You should see the Crypted DVD with DVPlayer.

New version of MEncoder and a port FFmpeg

On OS4Depot you can find a new version of MEncoder and a port of FFmpeg. In these version is enabled the new official WMV3 libavcodec support. So you can convert the WMV3 video to anything you want. Is also enabled the lamemp3 support so you can encode files using audio part in mp3 format

Pianeta Amiga 2006

OpenTTD 0.4.7

Widelands

Widelands is an open source (GPLed) game (work in progress) using SDL. It is in many ways similar to Settlers II by Bluebyte. You can check out a demo of the original game here (DOS/Win, 3.5 MB, (C) Bluebyte Inc). Since not everybody knows this game or can play the demo, we try to give some information, especially about widelands.
