A preview of Gnash will be shown at next Pianeta Amiga. It is possible that the standalone player will be released for that date.
17-06-2009 - Audio AHI
After some days of problems due a stupid message port present in another task.. and due my lack of knowledge of C++ i've removed SDL also for the audio part..
Thanks to Hans-Joerg Frieden and Costel 'Cyborg' Mincea for their help (and patience...)
05-06-2009 - Gnash Player has now a GUI for preferences
A Reaction GUI is now present to change .gnashrc value files.
It supports most of common and important values of Gnash configuration file
However is always possible to change these values with a simply text editor like Notepad
See Screenshots page for all details.
31-05-2009 - Gnash Player get a menu!
Gnash Player now has a Menu that allow to do almost all GTK version operations :)
I've also removed a bug that affected the first Player2.swf file
And now let's go to remove the next bug! ;)
22-05-2009 - Player improvements
Fullscreen and Mouse hiding are now supported by AmigaOS4 GUI.
The next week i'll try to take a look at plugin even if the port needs also some Gnash implementations.
We'll see...
20-05-2009 - One bug! One Vision!
Yesterday night I've removed a bug that allow me to play SWF files like on the Linux version!
This is a good step so i can compare the two Systems to see if files are played in the same way!
19-05-2009 - SDL out (for video..)
Finally I've removed the entire SDL part and i've replaced the SDL function with AmigaOS one.
By the way no great speed enhancements are noticeable. Now let's remove the SDL part for Audio, so i can remove 3MB from the exe..
14-05-2009 - YouTube! - NOW OK!
W00t!!! Finally i've found a bug that was blocking a lot of SWF files!! And now also the actual youtube player is working correctly!!
And the streaming is working too! Even if "a little bit slow... ;)"
Hope this patch will be applied since is a little bit hackish.. :D
12-05-2009 - YouTube!
Finally... I'm able to play YouTube player2.swf file. Yes..it isn't so accurated but is a good start.. there are a lot of other players that are shown correctly and so i'm sure that also YouTube will do in a (near) future..
28-04-2009 - AGG or Cairo?
Actually AGG seems more faster and accurated than Cairo on Gnash. The SWF files are played at same speed of my Dual G5 also on my A1G4@933. So, yes speed is acceptable...
24-04-2009 - Patches
First patches are commited to the official gnash trunk. Gnash developers are really kind and are accepting patches for AmigaOS platform!
Actually is possible to configure Gnash to be compiled on our platform even there are some files that aren't patched or totally missed. We are work to create patches more standard and maybe usable from any other OS too..
20-04-2009 - The Start
The bounty of gnash present at http://www.amigabounty.net has been accepted. The main dependencies needed by Gnash has been completely ported and should work.
Indeed a first SDL version is already working has a network access that use libcurl and is capable to stream files from internet.
But for the Bounty there are a lot of things to do. You can find more info in the To Do page.
