Update 1 of AmigaOS 4.1 available

Hyperion Entertainment CVBA announces the immediate availability for download of Update 1 of AmigaOS 4.1, the most substantial update to date, and bringing the Sam440 out of “beta”.

Offers more stability on SAM, a more reliable and efficient memory management system and improved memory paging to and from harddisk.

A new mechanism for launching preset programs for specific taks, such as email clients and web-browsers (URLopen).

The first ODBC manager for AmigaOS 4 is being to be relased for our platform.
in the ODBC page you can find all informations about the ODBC and which drivers are available.

New MPlayer version

A new version of MPlayer is available:
These are the main changes:
* Added a check if the Altivec is available for real when the altivec version
is loaded.. just to avoid the altivec version crash on SAM
* Add the Drag&Drop fuction.. now it is possible to drag the video directly on the mplayer current video and replace it :)
* A new "Load File" menu is present and it allow to load a file also when another is currently playing
* Added two tooltypes SCREENSHOTDIR and EXTPATTERN to change the directory
where to save the screenshots and the ASL pattern of the MPlayer file requester
* Updated to the latest svn version
* Fixed a couple of bug
* Altivec version recompiled
* Now it is possible to take screenshots of a movie pressing 's'

A new version of NewsCoaster has been released.
The new version now run correctly also on AmigaOS4.1
New for version 1.65:
FIXED: Now runs correctly on AmigaOS4.1
FIXED: Removed old deprecated OS4.x functions (Seek,Examine..)
FIXED: Remove almost all warnings (not those when you use -Wall)
FIXED: Correct output to >NIL: for many commands
FIXED: Now headers are showed correctly in the ViewWindow
FIXED: When a message fail, now the return code (and message) is displayed instead of a generic message
FIXED: Strip one \r or a \n when adding Headers to the header texteditor
FIXED: Now, reply message contain a valid subject and get the newsgroups automatically
FIXED: Update index function
FIXED: Reply-To now should be re-enabled.
